Winter Interest

Garden Clubs! Next spring, please consider including an ornamental grass in amongst your annuals. Those grasses can be left standing in the city planters through the winter rather than torn out in October. The 70th & Cahill planter is sporting Carex buchanan 'Red Rooster' sedge, grown from plugs donated by Wagner's Greenhouse. It's only hardy to zone 6 but will provide some much-needed interest over the seven-and-one-half months the beds lay fallow. Search the EGC Catalog for suggestions.
